In 1981 Honda released a unique upscaled version of the XE trim entitled the XXR, to entice buyers to a more luxurious offering. Dubbed "The Special" or "Specialty Climax", the XXR was offered as the top trim package for both 1981 and 1982.
XRR Prelude Trim Features
- Included the standards of the XE trim
- Offered in two unique two-tone exterior colors
- Special color-coordinated interior with unique fabric pattern
- Special XXR Grill emblem and side door pillar emblems (chrome)
- Unique 5x13 rim, "Honda Prelude" name embossed in rim
- Fold out sectional rear seat
- Electronic Navigator System (Center Console)
- Special Rear speakers with upgraded stereo AM/FM/tape player
- Unique chrome side trim on lower rocker panel
- Vented Front Rotors, Rear Solid Disc Brakes
